You're invited to an exclusive preview of the National Communication Museum (NCM), a new museum that explores the technologies that empower us to shape our future.

NCM is the connector between arts, industry, education and technology, located in the heart of Hawthorn.

Now more than ever we need a museum that questions and investigates our relationship with technologies and the role they play in our lives.

Join us on Friday 20 September from 10.30am – 12pm.
Tickets are strictly limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that this event will also be attended by journalists, who will be taking photos throughout the session.

The National Communication Museum (NCM) is a brand-new museum in Hawthorn, based in a historic 1930s exchange building, parts of which are still operational, on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people.

Situated adjacent to Swinburne University in an emerging STEAM precinct and designed by award winning architects Carr design, NCM's visitors will explore the power of communication and the technologies that enable the creation and transformation of communities.

By Car
Parking is available nearby on Burwood Road, Glenferrie Road, and at the nearby Hawthorn Arts Centre.

Public Transport
The museum is a five minute walk from Glenferrie Station.
Tram route 16 stops at the corner of Burwood Road and Glenferrie Road, a two minute walk from the museum.

NCM is committed to accessibility. The building and displays are designed to be inclusive, with features like audio loops, Auslan interpretation, captions, and a wheelchair lift.
